Cred app is a mobile platform that helps you to make the credit card bill payments easier. If you are paying credit card bills using the Cred app then you will receive an equal amount of Cred coins. These coins can be used to purchase products and discount coupons. Cred app is an initiative by Kunal Shah, founder of FreeCharge.
In our country, lots of people are using credit cards every month for their shopping and bill payments. If we are using our credit card, then we have to pay back the credit amount on or before the due date otherwise they will charge a higher percentage of interest. And that’s where CRED comes in. CRED app will help us in managing our credit card efficiently.
CRED is a member-only platform. You will get Cred app access only if you have a credit score of 750 or more, else you will be there on the waiting list. If your credit score satisfies the minimum required criteria then you can complete the registration. Then the app fetches the details of credit cards linked to the provided mobile number.
Steps to register for CRED
Step 1 – Download the Cred App
Step 2 – Register to cred using your phone number
- Register to cred using your full name, mobile number(registered with a credit card), and email id.
- Then provide your PAN details.
- Cred will process the provided data and check your eligibility, based on your credit history. For this cred has a tie-up with credit bureaus like CRIF.
- If your credit score is 750 or above then you can complete the cred registration.
If your registration is waitlisted due to the lack of credit score then you can re-apply after improving your credit score. In the case of new credit card owners, use it for 1 or 2 months and apply.
Step 3 – Register your credit cards
Once registration is completed on Cred, all your Credit Cards would be displayed. You just need to verify these cards by entering the last 4 digits of the card. To ensure the active status of these cards, cred will instantly deposit Rs. 1 to each of the cards for the verification.
You will not be asked to enter an expiry date or CVV of your cards which ensures the safety of this app.
