Cochin Shipyard Ltd is the largest shipbuilding and maintenance facility in India. It is part of a line of maritime-related facilities in the port-city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India.
Cochin Shipyard on Feb 12 posted a net profit of Rs 223 crore during the December quarter. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 169 crore during the same quarter a year ago ( Dec 2019). While comparing the net profit in Dec 2019 and 2020, there is a 32 percent rise in consolidated net profit in Dec 2020 quarter.
The total income of Cochin shipyard during the December 2020 quarter fell to Rs 763 crore from Rs 950 crore in the Dec 2019 quarter. However, the company managed to reduce its total expenses to Rs 449 crore as compared to Rs 710 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Cochin shipyard also announced the 2nd interim of Rs 4 in the board meeting held on 12 Feb 2021. The company has fixed 24 February as the record date for the second interim dividend. The dividend will be paid on or before March 2021.
